National & Major Regional Shows
- RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival
- Dates: 2027
- Location: Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey, Surrey KT8 9AU
- Description: The world’s largest flower show promises amazing garden designs, gorgeous floral displays, expert growers, and exclusive shopping in the magnificent setting of Hampton Court Palace.

- Sandringham Flower Show
- Date: Wednesday – Saturday 22 – 26 July 2026
- Location: Sandringham Park, Sandringham Estate, Norfolk, PE35 6AB
- Description: One of the most prestigious horticultural events in the East of England, offering top horticulture alongside family entertainment in the beautiful grounds of the Royal Estate.

- National Dahlia Society Show
- Dates: 2 – 4 September 2025 (held in conjunction with RHS Wisley Flower Show, 2 – 7 September)
- Location: RHS Garden Wisley, Woking, Surrey GU23 6QB
- Description: Showcase of the very best in dahlia cultivation from around the UK, with magnificent blooms and expert talks.

Kent, Bexley & Dartford Area Events
- Wildflower Walk at Darenth Country Park
- Date: 5th July 2025
- Location: Darenth Country Park, Dartford (check Dartford Borough Council events for meeting point)
- Description: A guided walk to observe and learn about the wildflowers growing in Darenth Country Park.

- Kent County Show
- Dates: 4, 5, 6 July 2025
- Location: Kent County Showground, Detling, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 3JF
- Description: While a broader agricultural show, it features a dedicated “Garden Life & Horticulture Area” with display gardens, nurseries, and horticulture trade.

- Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice – Open Gardens Festival
- Dates: Various dates throughout summer (e.g., 20 July for Garden of Memories)
- Location: Various gardens across Greenwich and Bexley (check their website for specific addresses and dates)
- Description: Local residents generously open their beautiful gardens to the public to raise funds for the hospice. A wonderful opportunity to explore local green spaces.

- Castle Farm – Lavender Season Events (Near Dartford/Shoreham)
- Dates: Late June – Late July 2025 (Guided Tours, BYO Picnics, Field Walks)
- Location: Castle Farm, Shoreham, Kent (check website for specific field locations)
- Description: Experience the stunning lavender fields in bloom with guided tours, opportunities for picnics amidst the flowers, and leisurely walks.

National Allotment Week
- Date: 11.00am Saturday 16th August
- Location: Alers Road Allotment Site, Alers Road, Bexleyheath
- Description: In celebration of National Allotment Week, the Society is putting on a fascinating talk on the history and ethos of Allotments followed by a tour of the Alers Road Allotment site.

Bexleyheath and District Horticultural Society Annual Show
- Date: Saturday 30th August
- Location: Boys Brigade Hall, Broadway, Bexleyheath.(Between Christchurch and Asda)
- Description: Our annual show, celebrating local growers and makers, from impressive vegetables, fruits and flowers to handmade cakes and crafts. Please join us in this friendly community event, light refreshments, teas, coffees and cakes available. Take a chance on a raffle ticket and win a prize! Want to exhibit? Events
Society’s Annual General Meeting (AGM)
Our AGM will be held on Friday 6th March in the Boy’s Brigade Hall in Bexleyheath. 7.45pm for 8.00pm start.
Coach trip to RHS Wisley gardens
Our annual trip to an RHS garden will be to Wisley this year. It will be on
Sunday 21st June
Numbers are limited by coach size to 53. Tickets are £15 per person and are available at both shops or by emailing banddhsociety@gmail.com . They usually sell out quickly so don’t miss out.
Visit to Coolings Nursery – Knockholt
We will be visiting Coolings Garden Centre to enjoy a guided tour of their nursery – they actually grow a large proportion of the plants they sell on site.
Friday 24th April 11.00am
The visit is free but members need to make their own way to the Garden Centre. We will operate a ‘Car Share’ scheme for anyone who doesn’t have their own transport.
Annual Show
This year our Annual Show will be held at the Boys Brigade Hall on
Saturday 5th September
Please reserve the date! Full details in the Show Schedule that will be circulated to members in June.
